A Thank-You and Update on Our White Lady AUS

Bridget - It's been a couple of weeks and I just wanted to thank you and give you an update on Our White Lady.  She is living with two older TB mares on 8 acres of nice pasture and has a small barn for protection from the weather.  They get some extras - senior feed, vitamins, etc... because of their age and some medical issues, and she seems to be enjoying it all.  She has fit in beautifully and seems perfectly content.  I am thrilled as Our White Lady has become good friends with the older of the two mares, Mama Big Bucks - she really needed a friend, So, like I said, It has worked out perfectly.

Secondly, I want to thank you for being so professional to deal with.  Your honesty in disclosing every little detail of Our White Lady's conformation and previous injuries was greatly appreciated.  And your helpfulness in making all the arrangements to leave your farm on such short notice was fantastic.   - just wanted to let you know and say "thanks".

I will keep in touch and let you know if we are able to get a pregnancy.

Thanks again!
Jen

Admirer From South Africa

Hi Bridget

I have been looking at your website for the last four years and just cannot get over
the majesty of your horses! They are so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
I look forward every year to the new babies that arrive and am never disappointed. I especially
liked Cassie's Gold Locket, that chocolate palomino colour is to die for!

I am dying to own or breed a coloured thoroughbred for myself but finances are just saying otherwise
right now. Still, maybe one day.

And THANK YOU sooooo much for sharing your site with everyone!

Update On Snowy's Travels

Hi - Our White Lady left KY this am.  She will be arriving in Billings, MT tomorrow between 7 and 9 our time.  Unfortunately, we have had a bit of an emergency and have to leave for Colorado tomorrow am.  So, she will be delivered to a friend of ours in Billings, MT.  He is a vet and will take good care of her until we return home Sunday.  I can't believe I'm not going to see her until Sunday!  I just wanted to let you know. I will call you and let you know she arrived safely in Billings.

Thanks again for everything.  Geez, I have a spot ready for her and everything... I am impatient!

Our White Lady aka Snowy Departing Norsire Farm

Snowy is on her way to her new home in WY.  Her new owner plans on breeding her and should have great success since her hubby is an equine reproduction specialist.  We hope to see a few more foals out of this special mare in the future.  Snowy will be greatly missed here at Norsire Farm...she was always such a pleasure to deal with!  She was also a wonderful mom to her foals and kind to her pasture mates as well.

Raising Top Quality Foals and Promoting

Bridget,

Hello, I am co-leader of the Chesterfield Classic Equestrians 4-H club in Chesterfield VA.  Our club held its first fall meeting last night and one of the activity goals for the year is to visit a breeding farm.  Most of our members ride hunters although we do have a few western riders. There would be approximately 12 members ages 9-18 and about 8 parents.

I am wondering if there is any possibility that we could tour your Norsire Farm? We are willing to work around your schedule, but would only be able to come on a Saturday or Sunday due to school schedules. We also have no preference for the time of year, again whatever would be best suited for your program.

As an employee of DreamHorse, I see your ads often and believe that your program would be very educational for our students. It appears you have a top quality program and take each aspect of the breeding business very seriously.  Not only are you raising top quality foals you promote and market your farm and horses in a variety of ways.  I do think that some of our members aspire to go into the equine industry as trainers or farm managers, so if those aspects could be addressed that would be amazing.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of hosting our club for a tour and educational day at Norsire Farm.

 DeShane

(side note, we said of course and they will be coming for a visit in spring 2009!)

RIP My Beloved Nico...My Little Boy In A Fur Coat!!!!!

He was the BEST BOY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I had to do the hardest thing I've ever done in my life second to putting my first German  Shepherd Cruiser to sleep on May 20th, 2005...I had to put my beloved Nico to sleep and it is killing me inside!!!  I miss him so much I can hardly stand it...I though my first one was the hardest thing ever and now Nico is proving to be even worst...this is the worst heartache I've ever experienced in my life!!!!  I lost my two grandparents who raised me and were wonderful to me growing up and this by far is worst...he was my child and I'm so empty inside without him.  Nico until we meet again at the rainbow bridge baby be happy and pain free!!!  Mama loves you so much and is hurting so badly for you.  There just are not enough words in this universe to express my love for you and my pain right now!!!  Nico was such a part of our daily life, Fred and I both are finding it very hard to carry on without him.  Nico literally went every where we did, to the store, work, vacations, to work in the hay fields...he was always along for the ride and to keep us company!!!  It is like loosing a part of your own body!!!  Nico RIP my love...until we meet again at the rainbow bridge!!!!!

The Facts Brothers

Hi Bridget!

I absolutely love your colt Documented Facts! I was in love with his brother, Facts not Rumors, the moment I saw his picture and couldn't wait for Documented Facts to be born! I was wondering if either colt turned into a rich, chocolate palomino like Cassie's Gold Locket.

I love what you do! Keep up the good breeding!

Beautiful Horses and very nice web site.

Hello,

I recently lost my Thoroughbred Mare that I adopted. I was looking for Thoroughbreds when I came across your sight. Just wanted to let you know that you have some beautiful horse (as you know). I would never be able to afford 1 of them but they are pretty. Your web site is very nice also.

Thanks,

Cassie's Gold Locket is Soooo Pretty!

Hi!

I think Cassie's Gold Locket is soooo pretty... I am a dressage rider and just happen to see your ad and just had to look at all your horses on your site. I really like the varied colors and these horses can really move, perfect for a dressage career. I was amazed that you had people purchasing for racing..but afterall they are thoroughbreds.  I am a single lady so money is always tight. Just wanted to express to you how lovely this filly is..she's awesome!

Update on Gold Tycoon
2 year old TB Gelding by Zillionair out of Lizzie by Hatchet Man

Photos By Chris Tolar taken at Devon 2008

Hi Bridget~

Ty is still everyone's favorite, and he continues to be the most well mannered 2 year old on the farm.  His 2008 show career was highlighted with a 2nd at Devon.  We will break him late fall and show him under saddle in 2009.  He's very special, and will be a real crowd pleaser.  I hear this constantly...   "Your horse is such a natural for the camera, and it's rare that one could look so good from the day he was born till now".

Once again... he's fit for a queen! LOL!

Congratulations on your new cremello colt!

Hi Bridget,

Been looking at your website regularly to see what's arriving - and just noticed today you posted info about a cremello colt......at long last!!  You've produced some real 'crackers' this year - well done you!!

One things for sure - as I said before - I won't be buying a palomino or cremello TB from anyone but you - I love your breeding programme and all of your stock is top-notch.  I'm afraid it's one of yours or none at all!

Best of luck with all of them - they're all really top class as usual!
I wouldn't buy a full TB palomino/buckskin/cremello from anyone but you, and that's the absolute truth!!!

All the best as always,
Jane in England

Gifted Gold to Start soon on the race track

Hi Bridget,

Thanks for the call.  I have her on the market but hope to get her to the races anyway if the time comes before she sells. I had planned on this fall to send her into the training center, they have a newly installed Poly track and it's great for the young horses. My trainer is mad I may sell her. I think he wants the attention of having her back in the barn! ha. But he is at the 29% win mark so he must have really liked her well enough to want her in the program, as they get concerned about win stats. He said she will mature into a lovely individual. I know I should keep her, she has done everything right and it would cost me much more than I'm asking to bred another one or buy one and start over, but I've had 2 really bum clients this year in the race industry that are sticking me pretty good and the new facility I was building along with the extreme conditions for hay etc.. the non profit horses.. so if I can get the price then I will have to sell.  But I do really like her. She is a super nice mover, there is not one thing wrong with her at all, mentally, physically, or aesthetically. Her full brother that is younger is even nicer.

You have a wonderful program and so many nice foals on the ground.  I'm so glad that many of them are getting out there and showing and winning for you now. It must feel good to see your breeding program just really in full bloom. Kudos.

The Gold Fox Update from England

Hi Bridget,

Fabulous filly - she looks to be a super sort and is obviously very agreeable too.

Gold Fox is 16.1 at 2 years old and looks absolutely magnificent, a million dollars!  We have been trying to get organized to do some new pictures but we are in full swing with the breeding season at the moment and there just aren't enough hours in the day at the moment. Fox has started covering mares this year and he is very good and easy to work with - his technique is perfect too which is equally impressive for a two year old!!

Kind regards,

Kate and Tina.
PS Say hi to Fred too!

Wow No Words to Express...

Dear Bridget & Fred,

I was finally able to sit down and read your entire testimonial page from your website.

I am speechless!  Having no idea who I was talking to but just a gal who loves horses like I do and shares the same humor, I'm dumbfounded  - for lack of a better word - by all you have accomplished and are doing!  And you called me!?!?!?!?

Ok I truly feel silly....you are like a "movie star" in the field of horses.  And you made the New Zealand Horse Talk - I'm flipping out!!

Speechless....just speechless.....Karen

p.s.  I'm in love with La Toute Premiere  - must be the French name LOL!!

Applaud your dedication to breeding quality horses

Hello,

I was just looking through your website. I have to tell you that I would be pleased to own *any* horse on your site.  It is very refreshing to see someone breeding such nice horses in this world of rampant breeding for color with no concern for conformation or mind.

I applaud your dedication to breeding good horses.  If I were in the market to buy, I would surely look at anything you had for sale.  They are *all* just wonderful.

Thank you for the great website.  I love the pictures and will come back to see what's new in the future.

Congratulations on your Cremello Filly White Chardonnay aka Valentine and beating the odds!

Hello Bridget!

I was so happy today to hear about Valentine today! I was hopping you’d get an all white pally! I didn’t really expect it, so when I read the news I got a big goofy grin on my face. You totally beat the odds! 17.5% chance for a cremello filly… and 3.125% for all white too! A truly special filly! I can’t wait to see the rest of this year’s foals as well, especially Start the Rumors’ foal. Her babies are so cute!  I wish the best to you in all your breeding endeavors!
Rooting for you here in California!

Where are all the babies???

Hey Bridget!

I know February is still young, but I am so anxious to see the next few babies.  3 due this month, right?  Who's going to go first??  I can't wait to see what Deb gives you this year.  Hopefully something light and blue eyed with lots of white (not that you would be able to tell!)

Whoever foals next, they've got a tough act to follow...Cassie's Gold Locket is adorable!

Anywho...let me know when the babies arrive.  I anxiously await the pictures every year.

Talk soon,

Mz Blonde in Pink Plaid

Hi Bridget,

Sorry it took me a while to update you on Mz Blonde, but she is doing great! She is the sweetest little filly and we adore her! She has a great little personality, and she is a 'barn favorite' at the stable we board her at.. everyone loves her :) She is VERY spoiled and loves being the center of attention. I wish I had some better pictures of her to send, but unfortunately its VERY cold and we have tons of snow in Wisconsin. Once its spring I will send you some more. She loves to run around, although she was a bit scared of the snow at first. I plan on taking her to some shows this summer and doing some in-hand classes... I can't wait to see how she does!

Solid Gold Coin has found his "special people" and a "special playmate"!

Hi  Bridget!

I  took  a  few  pictures  of  Coin  today  with  my  son  after  school.  He  is  VERY  sweet  and  loves  attention!  My  son  said  to  me  "we  are  very  lucky  to  have  this  horse".

Coin  is  eating  better  now,  he  has  settled  in  and  cleans  up  all  his  food.
He  still  keeps  his  head  out  and  watches  all  the  action  all  morning.  Several  people  have  been  in  to  see  him  &  ask  about  him,  I  give  them  your  web  site  so  they  can  go  home  &  learn  all  about  your  horses.

(side note, Yes you are very lucky to have a special horse like Coin!  He is a truly special, kind, loving and unique horse for sure!!!  I am so happy he is with you and getting the love and attention he so deserves.  Bridget Perry/Norsire Farm)

Hi Bridget,

I was just looking at your GORGEOUS ad in the Plaid Horse (online)! Wow, I just LOVE it. Can I ask who did the ad for you? It seems like I never see ads with lots of photos that look good -- but that one just looks fabulous, and I LOVE the graphic at the top with your stallion and the foal. VERY nice!!!

Inquiry About Cassie's Gold Locket & Your Lovely Horses

Hello!

I am E-mailing to inquire about Cassie's Gold Locket.  I am very taken with this filly.  As the owner of a palomino Dutch stallion I obviously adore the color - but feel very strongly that color should be icing ONLY and quality the reason we breed.  Your filly is a wonderful example of both!  As our dear boy gave us a spectacular chestnut sabino last year  whose dam is unfortunately not a frozen semen candidate (our stallion was gelded this year and is now only available via frozen semen) I am considering the purchase of a filly not related to him to 'indulge' my personal love of the 'golden children.'

Thank you for you consideration.  You have some lovely foals.

Sincerely,
Shell

My Dream Breeding Farm...Norsire Farm

Hi Bridget,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hospitality today. It was a pleasure to meet both you and Fred.

I've been a fan of your horses via your website and was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit in person. When girls dream of having a horse farm and raising horses, the dream is too perfect to be real. Your fields, your facilities and your amazing horses proved that the dream can be a reality.

I was prepared to have certain favorites but after today, my favorites shifted (though all are absolutely perfect, especially Blue!). Rita on the Rocks stole my heart today. She's so tall and kind, beautifully put together with just the loveliest and most gentle eyes ever and her babies are just lovely. I don’t have the vocabulary to tell you how I felt when I saw Pure White Gold. Though all the stallions were the perfect gentleman with such a refined head and perfect conformation and, of course, Zillionair…I felt like I was meeting a rock star! He is truly breathtaking. Finally I have to mention Cassie's Gold Locket…what a refined, perfectly marked little beauty you have to start the year. At 8 days old it was clear she trusts you and Fred completely. What a testimony to you and Fred and how you care for your horses.

Again, thank you for your generosity with your time today. I'll look forward to the new live web cams and the exciting new babies you are expecting in 2008.

Karen

Gold Treasure by Gold Card Yearling Filly

Hi Bridget,

I just wanted to let you know Goldie (Gold Treasure) got red preferred at her AWS inspection recently.  She was so quite she did not show her fabulous movement for the judges that day.  I believe if she had she would have gone blue preferred.  The judge commented many times about how well behaved she was and said she will be very trainable.  She was just as well behaved at the inspection as she is at home.  She definitely inherited her daddy's wonderful temperament as well as good looks!  I am hoping to show her in-hand as a two year old this year so wish us luck.

Talk to you soon,

Lauren
