Ambitious Blonde Another Houdini
Smart Filly, They Make The Smartest and Best Eventers

Hi Bridget,

Sunny is doing so well.  I tied her for the first time & she didn't get upset or pull...she promptly untied herself when I turned my back after a couple of minutes!  Smart filly, looks like I may have another Houdini on my hands but I've found they are the smartest & best Eventers.

Thanks so much,
Michele

Ambitious Blonde, She Has Such A Wonderful Mind!

Hi Bridget,

She has settled in very well.  She has a wonderful mind...she marched confidently up past the corn field blowing in the breeze to come in at night while my gelding who has seen it many times before was spooking. She's adjusting to coming in at night well. We renamed her Sunny...my husband was calling her a little sunshine so I shortened it to Sunny. She hasn't figured out that's she's much bigger than my son's pony who trys to kill her any chance she gets.....one of these days she'll put her in her place. LOL! My older gelding I used to event has laid claim on her so he's protecting her from that mean ol pony.

Cheers,
Michele

Ambitious Blonde Safe Travels To Her New Home

Just wanted to let you know, she travelled wonderfully!! She settled right down & only a pawed a  little at the rest stops. She stood absolutely still at the traffic lights in town.....after 5 hours! She looks tired but is settled in & quietly munching hay in her stall.

Thanks so much,
Michele

My Dream Of Owning a Norsire Farm Bred Palomino Hunter Has Come True!!!

Bridget,

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how happy I am with this beautiful colt, and how thankful I am for all your help in getting him here to surprise me!! I had been admiring your breeding program from afar for quite a while, but really had no hope of buying another horse anytime soon (or so I thought)... So you can imagine my surprise when he showed up at my barn with a ribbon and a ring tied around his neck!

He is settling in so nicely and is such a fast learner! My trainer says he is the bravest and quietest baby she's ever seen... He doesn't seem phased by much at all. He seems to really like my TB gelding Agent, luckily! They stand and stare at each other through stall windows. I absolutely love his trot and his canter is already so balanced and rhythmic at is age and is going to be really nice going down the lines when he's a fancy hunter in the future!! I can already tell he has the brains, attitude and athleticism to be a perfect competition partner for me! I can't wait to see how he turns out, but I am loving this baby stage so I hope he doesn't grow up too quickly !

I have the video uploaded on my Facebook, so if you'd like to see it you can request to be friends with me on there... I have already "liked" your Norsire page.

Thank you again, and I will keep in contact and share his progress with you.

He really made the most special time in a girl's life even better.

She said "YES!"

Bridget,

Sorry I missed your call yesterday, it was a hectic day! All went well and she said yes! Pesty was amazing, nothing scared him at all. Here are a few pictures that you can add to your site. If you would like some more let me know and i don't have the video yet one of her family members recorded it though. She absolutely loves him and didn't even expect the ring.

Thanks again for all your help! I will keep in touch so you could see how he progresses if you would like.

She is a pleasure to ride and has the sweetest personality!

Hello,

My name is Margo C., I am a 15 year old girl living in California. I believe I am a very lucky girl, for we have recently had the pleasure to buy Ebony Gold Orchid, a.k.a Fiona. She is now a beautiful seven year old mare with the curiosity of a three year old! Fiona is also very intelligent, over the span of a few weeks she has grown immensely in her flat work. She is a pleasure to ride and I feel as if we have a strong bond already. I, myself, am a hunter-jumper and have been riding since the age of three. Owning a horse to call my own has been a dream of mine since an early age, and finally the dream has come true. Fiona a magnificent girl and has the sweetest personality. Every time I go into her stall, she comes up and nudges me hello. She gets along well with the other horses and is very playful. Everyone agrees that is she the princess of the barn.

When we received her papers, we decided to do some research and found you, Norsire Farms! I just wanted to let you know where she is and that she is in good hands. My trainer and I are training her and she is a pleasure to work with. We have never been rough with her and have taken things slow from the beginning.

On another note, her baby is stunning! He looks so much like his father and he has an elegant movement, just like his mom. I can only imagine how wonderful he will be when he grows up!

I am very excited for the journey I will share with Fiona and I am very happy to have her in my life.

All is well and she is being excellent! I attached a photo of us and then one of just her. Talk to you soon and I'll keep you posted.

Sincerely,
Margo

She is a Sweetheart, we really like her...

Bridget, I got the papers today, thanks.  She is doing great, we have been sitting on her a few times, walked around and she is very quiet.  Mostly she just lounges around and eats  :)

We put her out there for some pictures, she was really funny...went in the dog runs, went on the sidewalks and basketball court....she is very curious and not afraid of much either which is nice...she is a sweetheart.  The day we decided to see about riding her,  we were amazed that she did not think anything about it, nice and quiet, so we will take her around to the shows next year, probably not show her, just so that she can see the sites for a year or so before actually showing her. I will let you know how she is doing from time to time...we really like her...

Have a nice week,
Suzanne

Hello From Blizzy

She is doing great, she has met all the others and getting along well.   We decided to put her in the big broodmare triple stall with a lot of fans that opens up to a big pasture, and with her in the stall and pasture is the other yearling filly, they just love each other, my bay filly is very friendly so can walk up and catch her anywhere, so Blizzy is learning fast from that, she will let us walk up to her now and catch her and brush her already, she was a little stand offish at first out in the pasture but she decided what was ok for the other filly must be ok for her too, so she learns fast, we are already starting to do some simple training on the ground, halter and showmanship stuff, back, square up, trot off , turn on the haunches ,,she seems willing enough for her first day here.  We are in no hurry on this end, we just handle them a lot and teach them stuff as we go.  She is very quiet and willing that is for sure, you did well with her.

We clipped her a little yesterday and she did fine with that too, I think we will try a bath this weekend.

If you ever get a great big palomino overo baby let me know :)

Suzanne

Blizzy Has Arrived In Her New Home in Iowa

Hi Bridget,

She just met her friends, I turn them all out in the early morning as it is cool then and we will bring them in when it gets hot at noon or 1 this afternoon, it is very hot and humid here at this point, but hopefully that weather won't stay very long...good for hay making though as hot as it is.

She acts like she has been here forever, no problem with the other horses meeting her...and she puts mine to shame with her very excellent movement and mostly her suspension...mine are good flat movers but only one has that shoulder and hind end engagement naturally.  My yearling quarter/paint is taller and more massive than Blizzy but I like Blizzy better in many ways as she has a lot of natural grace and engagement, and I like her refinement...so I will pray she gets some height too.  I do like her very much and marked perfectly to show, not too loud and obnoxious with the white :), mostly pretty buckskin.

My son will get some pictures today so later I will send them to you... she got to meet our donkey too, not sure if she has ever seen a long ear, that did not impress her much either, so she seems to be not spooky at all just kind of fits right in where ever and with whom ever she is with....... a good thing.

So far so good.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Blizzy On Her Way to Iowa To Meet Her New Mom

Hi Bridget,

Thanks for the news.  We cannot wait to see her.  Not sure of her arrival date yet.

You can be assured that she is going to a great home with pasture good buddies for her and her own large box stall.  I will send pictures of her often so you can continue to watch her grow up.

I do know and appreciate all of your very dedicated work to produce a horse like her and I will continue your vision for her to the best of my and her ability, she will be a great broodmare in the future too after her show career.

I have a friend that is looking at what you have for sale and she really likes the Beach Bum colt, so she may contact you, she is a great person and has a wonderful place in Georgia, her name is Donna and she is very very knowledgeable about the show hunters.

All the best,
Suzanne

June 27th, 2011 You're A Grandmama!!!

Hi Bridget,

Deb just delivered a huge chestnut colt - 3 whites and a blaze (I think) We were so concerned about making it stress free for her after last year's disaster.  Stacey had the straps on the legs before I could even see them.  All is well - Deb and colt resting quietly.

You're a Grandmama.

Thanks so much for Deb - she is such a wise old lady.

Queen Debonair aka Deb and Our White Lady AUS aka Snowy in Colorado with their new owner Jen and Stacey Tarr D.V.M.

Hi Bridget - haven't talked to you forever.

Finally sending photos of Deb and Lady  - both are well.  Sunny too.  Mare with them is a 24 year old TB mare.  Lady's recipient mare had a chestnut filly who is lovely.  Lady herself had a mostly white colt 4 days ago.  Had bad meconium impaction and thought he might not make it for a bit, but he is doing really well now.  I'll send photos of both of them when I take some.  Deb is 332 days pregnant today.

The base color of Snowy's baby is bay. He somehow managed to injure a rear fetlock last night - maybe his mom stepped on him?  Anyway, we stitched him up and he is wearing a bandage and should be fine.  He is the most friendly, mild, mannered boy.  I don't know why Sunny isn't in the photo - I'll send some of her- she must have been just out of the frame.  She has made other friends, while Deb and Snowy stick together all the time.  Sunny hangs out with everyone.  I'll let you know about Deb when she foals out.

Hope all is well with you.
Jen

Izzy's Wedding Day aka Isadora

Good Morning,

Just wanted to let you know that we took Izzy to the Boumi Temple Horse show on Friday.  We actually ran into the owners of Cassie Gold Locket there and got to meet her.

Izzy was very well behaved and such a little trooper!  She loaded right into the trailer (we hadn’t tried loading her since we brought her home from your farm), she stood quietly for her bath and to be clipped, and was very well behaved for the braider.  Despite only having a bridle on 3 times, she could have cared less about everything we were doing to her.  We were very pleased with her and cant wait to keep working with her.

Thanks,
Kristie

Live Web Cam's Of Your Foaling Mares

Bridget, My son told me of the website justin.tv. We were interested in bird feeding cams across the country and in my searching I ran across the cam of another farm and it just escalated from there. I am amazed at all the Love and hard work it takes to have a workable farm.

Thank-You for allowing me and others the privilege of viewing the birth
of your foals. If it wasn't for your generosity many like me wouldn't
get to see real births. Good Luck!

Happy New Years!
Mom's Tiffany Gold aka Tootsie with her new owner Hali!! Pictured here with her 4 year old owner Hali and Tootsie is 1 1/2 years old.  Zilly really puts a nice temperament on his offspring!!

Hello,

Happy New Years.  We would have loved to come up for a visit, but I messed up my foot, so I am limited on what I can do for now.  Tootsie is doing great, Hali walks her around by herself.  She has quite the comical personality and is such a silly girl.  We have justed realized to top off all the spots and speckles, she has a dorsal stripe as well.  Hope everything is going well.  Hope to visit next month.

Take care,

Kelley, Hali & Tootsie
